... Camps are Uber Fun

I just received some camp forms for this September's holiday camps, these camps are run for 3 different age groups: years 7&8, 9&10 and a VCE one. VCE Camp is being held at some strange place called Grantville, apparently its near the beach, and is held in a pleasant relaxing manner allowing for plenty of study time, chill time or both if your feeling adventuresome. The camps for the younger ones amongst us are held at Halls Gap and are more fun than you can possibly imagine.

Now I can't personally think of anything I'd rather do more during the September holidays than go on one of these camps (we'll except for the year when I decided I should take up my only chance to play in a national lacrosse championship, but this is Y's blog not Tangent's so I'd better get back on topic).

So if you think you'd like to go visit the Youth Vision web site for camps and see all the details they have for them, or see me for a photo copy of the brochure. You'll need to be quick though as the early bird fees close on the 24th of the current month!!!! A little birdie has told me that it can be easier to get people to pay for these expensive camps when you manage to get them to pay the $20 lesser number needed for the early bird fee.

... Wizards are Careless

In the information for the Two Headed Giant tournament I mention that their are official rules in the comprehensives rules that deal with the format. We'll in the official FAQ for 2HG their is a mention of a ammendment:

If an effect sets a single player’s life total to a number, what number so I set the Team’s life total to?

If an effect would set a single player’s life total to a number, that player’s individual life total becomes that number. The team's life total is adjusted by the amount that player's life total was adjusted.

Example: In a Two-Headed Giant game, a player on a team that has 25 life plays a spell that reads, “your life total becomes 20.” That player’s life total is considered to be 13 for the purpose of the spell, so that player’s life total becomes 20 and the team’s life total becomes 32.

Note: The rule and example in section 606.9c of the Comprehensive Rules that relate to this question are incorrect. The answer listed above is an official correction to the Comprehensive Rules. (The Comp Rules will be updated at a later date.)
