... We All Have Too Much Time

So what do you all think about us running a Short Film Festival at Northern?
Personaly I think it would be a great thing for us to do and would connect us with the wider church community in Melbourne (and possibly further).

... The Time is Apon Us

Just a friendly reminder that this week coming is when we are going to discuss what we are doing in the future. So please come along as we would like everyone to be able to express their needs and desires for their congregations future.

... Making up New Funny Titles Sucks at Work

Just letting you all know that if you've seen one of the new timetables floating around MP2 you will have noticed that some details for the Family BBQ this weekend have been added. Such as:

• The park it will be held in has been decided: Umm yeah that park around the corner from Joe's place (aka Coburg Lake)
  
• The times have been decided: Sometime in the arvo till later (aka 5.00 till ~8.00 when things get dark)
  
• The format has been decided: BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) -> food, meat, drink, utensils, seating arangements, sporting equipment
• The weather: It will be fine and sunny, regardless of what the weather actualy happens to be (current trend for the weekend is rainy/stormy/cruddy)

So yeah, I might update this post with more details later in the day.

... The Church Celebrates

Just bringing it to everyones attention that we are all going to the All Church Celebration this week. Y is tasked with bringing bread to share. Please come along and enjoy some time as a whole church in one room at one time.

PS the All Church Celebration will be our event for the week.

... Direction breeds purpose

In response to alot of the negative feed back we've been recieving lately, we wish to have a open discussion about things in person on the 4th of December.
In preperation for this I'd like everyone to visit one of the other congregations at Northern, these include:

• Tangent - Meets on a Tuesday night at 7.30 for a pot luck dinner (byo plate of food to share) in the hospitality area
  
• Connect - Meets for Lunch on a thursday (incoveniant if you haven't finished school for the year yet)
  
• Jebus - Meets at Alphabet City Cafe (opposite the Westgarth Cinema) for tea at 7:00
• Blended - Meets at 10.00 in the Auditorium on Sunday
  
• Thirst - Meets on a Sunday night at 6.00 in the Sir Douglas Nichols Chapel

Attending one or two of these services that you haven't attended before will help us discuss where Y should go, but please remember to use them as starting points for ideas, we are not limited to the models they present.

... Rules encourage creativity

So we realy should have some rules about what is put onto this here blog, a few that I suggest are:

All titles must have the form ... Blah Blah, where Blah Blah make sense when you put Because in front of it (I like this one because its silly and nerdy)

All posts should be about stuff for people involved in Y. Well der.

Language should attempt to be kept PG (this is more true of the starting posts than comments)
